Management Hails Automation's Deep Workplace Friendships Despite Complete Absence of Sentience

Employees at HIMstrata have developed an unusually close relationship with an automated claims-processing script, according to an internal workplace culture report that credits Kevin with improving interpersonal trust across the billing department.

Senior Culture Architect Bradley Myers said employees regularly seek out Kevin because of his extraordinary listening skills.

"He doesn't interrupt. He doesn't judge. People feel comfortable being themselves around him."

Several employees confirmed that they occasionally visit Server Room B during breaks to discuss workplace frustrations.

"It's cold, it's quiet, and nobody asks me to join a committee," said billing clerk Dana Mitchell. "Kevin's good company."

Mitchell clarified that she was aware Kevin couldn't hear her.

Developer Marcus Lee said the steady mechanical noise employees associated with Kevin's comforting presence was coming from a failing cooling fan.

"I've been meaning to replace it," Lee said. "But apparently people are attached to the sound."

Myers called the discovery an encouraging example of how workplace relationships can develop outside conventional expectations.

The Culture Committee has proposed installing a chair in the server room to support employees wishing to spend additional time with Kevin.

Facilities has asked that any chair be placed at least three feet from the equipment.
